6/07 “Hi MaryAnn- we are all back to reality this morning after a wonderful week in your beautiful home- We all thoroughly enjoyed your home and Steamboat- you thought of everything to make us feel right at home, thank you so much for everything- The trip was very easy on our Mom, who suffers from RA- she said that she slept better at your home than she had in many months at home-
There was so much to do we did not even get it all done but we did enjoy rafting, fishing, the rodeo, golfing, the gondola, lots of good food and a few very fun shopping outings-
My husband is a very early riser and was out each morning about 5:30 for a walk to the top of the mountain- He ran into a few of the neighbors who had indicated that a bear had been seen in the neighborhood- On Tuesday morning, as we were ALL gathered around the table (I think that was the rafting day so we were all present) much to our total amazement, we look out the window and see the bear slowly proceeding to walk up the steps of the side deck- We could not believe our eyes - there must have been 5 cameras in the house (not to mention all the cell phones) and not a one of us had anything handy to get a shot - no one wanted to leave as we all watched in total disbelief as he crossed the deck- almost to the rear second set of steps, then just turned around and left the way he came....Obviously, this memory will last a lifetime for all of us and I'm sure our two teenagers will tell this story time and time again to all of their friends -

2/07 "...We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Flush House. It was very roomy and the furnishings were surprisingly nice. (Not to be expected in a rental property.) Bathrooms, kitchen and bedding were awesome! We were very impressed. It was nice to have the knowledge that the caretaker was nearby. 2/07 "We came with 4 families from Kansas - 8 adults and 9 children - and skied every day we were here! We really enjoyed the spacious home & hot tub. The kids loved coming home from skiing and then immediately sledding down the hill along the side of the house. Thanks for the great memories!"

Enjoyed Strawberry Hill Spa, Steamboat Lake State Park & visiting the natural springs around town. Lyons drugstore has a wonderful ice cream and sandwich bar. The weather was beautiful all week!
